Ms. Nazli Arikan leads international dispute resolution and construction practices of the firm.
Having her academic thesis on Jurisdiction in International Arbitration, Ms. Arikan represented more than 20 different private companies and four states in international arbitration proceedings held before ICC, ICSID, UNCITRAL and Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
Ms. Arikan’s experience in international construction encompasses sophisticated international construction projects in numerous countries including Libya, Russia, Yemen, Nigeria, Qatar and Jordan. She also represents the firm’s clients in most challenging construction and project finance matters in Turkey, too.
Her broad experience includes dispute resolution and contract consultancy projects based on FIDIC, AIA and JCT type contracts, as well.
Ms. Arikan represents both employers and contractors in construction projects amounting to more than billions of dollars in Turkey and abroad. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Arikan worked for one of the big four audit firm’s legal department and also in two law firms where she represented clients in multi-million dollar international projects.
Ms. Arikan is admitted to Istanbul Bar Association and graduate of Galatasaray University Faculty of Law LL.B and Lycée Français Privé Saint-Benoît, Istanbul. Ms. Arikan has also obtained her LL.M degree from University of Galatasaray with her academic thesis on international arbitration and is fluent in English and French.
